a homily for the Quinceañera of Malena and Layla

I recently preached at a Quinceañera for twin girls— women— in my parish. It was my first such preaching occasion. Since the Evangelists rarely make mention of Christ’s age in their Gospels, I took as my passage one of the instances where they do, Luke 2:41–52.
