John 8.1-11 & Ruth 2
Many years ago I read the bestselling, generation-defining book by Donald Miller, Blue Like Jazz. I never thought that one day all these years later I would preach at the church featured in it.
The gracious folks— including their pastor Chris, who I count as a friend— at Imago Dei Church in Portland, Oregon invited me to kick-off their sermon series on the Book of Ruth; they even requested a specific sermon, making my work all the easier.
