Jason I so appreciate your words, your teaching and the many examples you have shared from your own life.I lately befriended someone with severe depression your words again have been extremely helpful in gaining perspective and how I can come along side this individual in a helpful way …… thank you , thank you , thank you!!!!! Blessings to you my brother!!!
This truth was revealed to me when my husband was in the hospital in December 2022, mere days before Christmas, with an unexpected massive saddle pulmonary embolism, having just coded three times on the hospital floor right after the medical folks had figured out there were blood clots in his legs.
He pulled through when the Baptist chaplain told me to prepare for the worst. No encouragement that God could or would work a different outcome. I'm sure it's because the chaplain hadn't seen much proof of that type--or he'd missed it. I understood in that hospital while waiting for his surgery once he was stable enough that Jesus was there in the hands and feet of the doctors, nurses, and others who had saved my husband and would continue to do so over the next 11 days. I realized I am Jesus to people. I understood it truly for the first time...thats it's not just a neat symbol of the body of Christ--a cool metaphor. Thank you for reminding me again.
