Yes, S&P is dated. But I still recommend it because the basic shape of his theology is coming alive for the first time and there's a unique energy to it. In any case, definitely don't *stop* with that book. I should've mentioned Canon & Creed too.

What 2-3 Jenson books would you tell someone to start with?
I’d start with Chris’s The End is Music.
Then read random essays of his that are available (and in the collections Chris notes).
Then read his Systematics.
I think Story and Promise is his first mature work, but it’s also a bit dated in language and theme.
