One of the few religious experiences I have had was when driving along a sea shore, I was overwhelmed by a sense of finitude and started laughing at how within that experience, I somewhat had a sense of God. It also dawned on me that it is in our finitude where our uniqueness lies.

Yes!!! Very well said. My friend, the philosopher, Todd May, says that "the fact that we die is the most significant thing about us." I wouldn't put it that way, but I think he is getting at the important idea that finitude is the condition of lived meaning. I hope you enjoyed the conversation.
